Real Estate Guidance from a Business Perspective

I’m Tom Johnston, an Affiliate Broker with Smoky Mountain Real Estate Corp. in Sevierville, Tennessee. I am licensed in both Tennessee and Ohio and am a member of the National Association of REALTORS®, the Great Smoky Mountains Association of Realtors, East Tennessee Realtors, and the Southern Ohio Association of Realtors.

I help East Tennessee buyers evaluate short-term-rental cabins in the Tennessee Smokies by combining real estate guidance with hands-on STR business experience.

Before real estate, I spent more than 30 years in senior leadership in the aviation industry, with responsibilities across operations, business development, sales and marketing, manufacturing management, supplier development, and facilities management.

 In 2024, I relocated from the Greater Cincinnati Ohio area to Tellico Village in Loudon County, Tennessee. I am also a Tennessee Notary Public. 

Over the years, I have been very active in my local community and church. I coached youth football and baseball, served on many local boards and was a volunteer firefighter for 10+ years.

I am a member of St. George Catholic Church and a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. I also volunteered for more than 20 years with Ohio 4-H and remain a certified volunteer, serving as a state instructor.
